Solar Absorber Fins
Selectively
coated Solar Absorber Fins collect Solar Heat and transmit it
to the water flowing through the riser pipes. The Black chrome
Solar Selective coating absorbs @ 95 % Solar radiation and
emits less than @ 15 %. Use of 99.9 % pure copper for absorber
sheet and riser tubes ensures high thermal conductivity.
The
Riser Tubes are welded to the absorber sheet by Ultrasonic
welding or Laser beam welding. Laser beam welding covers upto
40 % of the Riser Tube circumference and is comparatively more
efficient than Ultrasonically welded fins which have
intermittent welding spots.

solar Flat Plate Collectors (Specifications – read together

SET
solar Flat Plate Collectors are available in two attractive
colours – Golden Yellow and Ivory. The collector box has a
frame of Extruded Aluminum sections and the Aluminum back
sheet is firmly pop riveted to the casing. Proper insulation
and a high grade reflector below the absorber panel and use of
low iron content glass for glazing enhance the efficiency of
the collector.
SET
solar Flat Plate Collectors are regularly checked and
certified by Bureau of Indian Standards under IS 12933 : 2003.
The Collectors have been appreciated by a number of installers
who integrate their own systems with our collectors.

SET
solar Water Heating Systems (Specifications-Read specs for
Solar Absorber Fins, Solar Flat Plate Collectors and Hot water
Storage tank)
The
Solar Flat Plate Collector based systems are available in two
modes – passive and active systems.
Passive
systems consist of an array of Solar Flat Plate Collectors,
insulated hot water storage tank. A set of pipes connects the
tank with the Collector array. The system works on simple
Thermosiphon principle. There are no moving parts, electrical
sensors or any complicated gadgets in this type. These systems
are most suitable where output temperature need not be fixed.
Active
systems have a pump that feeds water to the collector array. A
control panel activates the pump when the temperature of water
in the collector array reaches the preset value. Active
systems are preferred for systems above 3000 LPD or where the
application is commercial or industrial.
In
addition to the Flat Plate Collector Systems, our company
manufactures all glass evacuated tube collector based
SET solar ETC systems. The systems are suitable for small
families as well as where the water available is hard.
